“Many divers see underwater photography as something too complicated or expensive to venture into.”

The reality today, is very different. Now diving and photography with a digital camera system have become very easy.

Many of you may already have a digital camera system and a proper underwater housing. As such, it is likely you are asking yourself how to take better pictures. You can now go through a course which will take your dive experiences to the next level.

The Digital Underwater Photography course can be learned in a swimming pool or directly in the ocean. This makes it the perfect speciality to do during the off season.

Total Diving System Assembly, Check and Adjustment

Equipment

Preparing the Camera System

  1. Review individual steps of basic camera and flash/strobe o-ring maintenance
  2. Assembly and test of flash/strobe
  3. Care of lens or port
  4. Inserting the storage card into the camera
  5. Assembly of accessories

Pre-Dive Check

Pool/Confined Water Skills

  1. Maintaing Buoyancy – Basic Exercises
    1. Correct Weighting
    2. Pivoting – Balancing on fin tips (optional)
    3. Hovering (optional)
  2. Maintaining Buoyancy – Exercises Specific to Photography
    1. Perpendicular hovering
    2. Horizontal hovering
    3. Sinking into a kneeling position with minimal movement
    4. Using one finger for pushing off
    5. Prone position
  3. Time to Practice
  4. Using the Camera System
  5. Practicing with Accessories
