TDI Decompression Procedures

TDI Decompression Procedure course is the first step towards diving past the recreational depth limit of 30m. The TDI Decompression Procedures course prepares you in organizing planned staged decompression diving, and will allow you to descend down to a maximum depth of 45m/150 feet.

What is required?

  • Minimum age - 15 years old
  • TDI Understanding Nitrox certification (or equivalent from another training organization)
  • TDI Advanced Nitrox Diving certification (Not mandatory but highly recommended)
  • Full personal equipment

What is in this Course?

  • 2 Theory sessions (6 hours)
  • 1 Pool Session (3 hours)
  • 2 Open Water Scuba Dives (required but not inclusive in the package)
  • TDI Divers Guide to Decompression Procedures Manual
  • 2D/3N Full board trip to Malaysia (Pulau Dayang/Tioman)
  • Instructor fees (ratio for practical sessions - 6 students : 1 instructor)
  • Certification fees

What you will be learning?

During the course, you will be provided with valuable information and skills. This will help you to become prepared for other stages in the world of technical diving. The syllabus for the course includes:

  • Kit set-up
  • Equipment requirements
  • Decompression techniques
  • Decompression breathing gases
  • Gas management
  • Contingency planning

How long does it take?

Our TDI Decompression Procedures Course is conducted on a weekly basis from March till November 2007. You have an option to join us in any of the weeks you prefer.

Before you visit Gill Divers personally to complete the registration (ideally 1 week before the intended trip), please complete the following forms.
