Lembeh Straits

Located on the other side of Manado from Bunaken National Park, the Lembeh Strait houses an underwater dream for photographers and divers alike. With plenty of dive sites just off the coast, theres always something new to see in the waters and divers just keep coming back, always anxious of what they are to find next. Keep a look out for the mimic octopus or harlequin shrimps next time you're here!

Unlike Malaysia diving areas, Manado is not affected by the annual Northeast monsoon and so is accessible for diving all year round. Conditions do however change within the year. The August period although offers the poorest visibility, it also offers the richest number of critters to find underwater.

Getting There
