The Layang Layang Island Resort is a modest three-star resort with tropical hardwood structures and the likeness of a traditional Longhouse exudes an unparalleled sense of hospitality and warmth.

Getting there

After arriving at Kota Kinabalu, you would need to take an internal flight into Layang Layang Island. Regular flights are operated by a private airline from Kota Kinabalu Terminal 2 Airport onto a 1000 metre runway on Layang Layang Island.

Accomodation

Layang Layang Island Resort is made up of 6 blocks of tropical hardwood timber structures housing 86 well furnished guest rooms. All guest rooms are equipped with remote controlled air-conditioner, telephone, television with in-house videos & programmes from regional satellite broadcast, private hot/cold shower and toilet, 2 queen-sized beds and a private balcony.

Meals

All guests are able to have their meals are presented daily in either buffet setting or set menus with a main focus on Asian cuisine intersperse with International favourites.

Facilities

Layang Layang Resort has the ability to cater to seminars, meetings as there are adequate conference and banqueting facilities which can host up to 200 persons. There’s also a swimming pool that seems to continue out into the sea. It’s a great spot to cool down, put your feet up with a book and get some drinks.

Diving

There are ten Catamaran boats that brings divers to the sites between 10-30 minutes. The in-house PADI dive center is professionally-run by a team of experienced and qualified instructors. This team of six persons have hundreds of dives at Layang Layang between them. With 3 dives a day, a stunning dive experience awaits, as the average visibility is between 30 to 50 metres.
