How long have you been diving?
I’ve been diving for donkey years, since 1975. Back in the days when sex was safe and diving was dangerous.
Best diving experience?
When I first started diving we didn’t have BC vests we just had to fin hard. We also didn’t pressure gauges or dive watches. We just guessed and took extra long surface intervals. If diving from a boat, the captain set a kitchen timer, then when the alarm rang, a crew member would hold a frying pan under water and bang it with a hammer — this was the signal to surface. We would dive till we ran out of air, then reach over our shoulder and turn the “J” valve giving us 20 more pounds of pressure; just enough to surface.
Which underwater creature gets you going the most?
Bull Sharks, Tiger Sharks, White Sharks, and Student Divers

Dive often and tip the instructor generously.
