Dive Management Associate

The Asia Dive Academy (ADA) Dive Management Associate (DMA) Program offers you an opportunity to discover the amazing underwater world and develop a lifetime career of intense adventure. We believe every individual has different abilities, capabilities, personalities and goals in life -- and our DMA program offers a vast array of opportunities in career development. The DMA Program offers you an intensive on-the-job training from basic Open Water Diver course to Open Water Scuba Instructor course in conjunction with Dive Business Management training.
You will begin the 1 to 2 years training program with a one day orientation designed to equip you with ADA's core values and standard operating procedures. Thereafter, your adventurous career in scuba diving starts with the following training courses:
Year 1
- PADI Open Water Diver Course
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
- PADI Emergency First Responder Course
- PADI Rescue Diver Course
- PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Course
- PADI Dive Master Course
Year 2
Throughout the program, you will learn and experience the skills and business principles required to operate a successful scuba diving centre. You will be introduced to every aspect of the scuba diving industry with on-the-job-training, namely:
Equipment
The retail aspect of the scuba diving industry – You learn skills on costing & pricing, ordering, presentation and sales techniques.
Education
The academic section of the industry – You learn how to arrange and organize courses. This will include managing instructor scheduling, manuals, slates, equipment requirements and swimming pool logistics, etc and all other aspects of actual diving courses and organization.
Experience
Dive Travel section of the industry – You learn how to sell using dive business marketing techniques to promote a scuba diving business, including print, electronic, and social media.
At the end of the DMA program, you will be assessed on your performance and demonstration of key competencies to determine the best position that you are most suitable in, either as an Open Water Scuba Instructor, Dive Club Manager or Dive Centre Manager locally; or at one of our partner dive resorts overseas.
